Encompassing over 640,000 sf of new offices, the complex also accommodates 600 vehicles on three levels of underground parking levels. In addition the project included the renovation of an existing building which was incorporated into the final design.
The design responds to the constraints of the site, particularly the diagonal tension between Denver’s central business district and the Civic Center Park.
The new Wellington E. Webb Municipal Building consolidates many City and County of Denver office functions from previous multiple locations into one convenient location including the District Attorney, City Attorney, Auditor, Clerk and Recorder, Planning and Zoning, Parks and Recreation, Public Works, and the Permit Center.
