The Wuxi Tonghui Road Development is a 490,000 square meter (5.29 million square foot) mixed-use project on the northern edge of central Wuxi, China. Surrounding a man-made lake, the project includes a 4-star luxury hotel, an office tower, and six residential towers. SoHo-style lofts, flats, and townhouses flank a gently sloping, tree-lined pedestrian street that cuts through a 213,000 square meter (2.29 million square foot) shopping, entertainment, and sports complex. This new regional center is adjacent to existing rail lines between Shanghai and Nanjing and will also connect to a future subway stop through an underground pedestrian mall. The complex incorporates passive solar design strategies, green roofs, and on-site water management. RNL, in association with Charles Group International, has completed planning and phasing studies and is currently in Schematic Design.
