To bring world-class innovation to our clients, we cultivate the talent, entrepreneurialism and diversity of our staff; develop firm-wide resources; nurture a culture of sustainability, innovation and design excellence and maintain firm operations in a way that supports our sustainability values.

RNL’s staff is passionate about sustainability and we have formed a long standing internal Green Team that advances the firm’s sustainable design standards, resources, education, processes, research, outreach, communications and operational policies. One of our Green Team’s most successful initiatives is our annual Green Week – an intensive week-long internal sustainable design conference open to all staff and clients.

RNL is continually growing our talent and expertise in sustainable design. Over 60% of our technical staff are LEED Accredited Professionals and each project’s sustainable design process is managed by a dedicated and trained sustainable design coordinator. RNL is one of the first design firms to recognize the critical role of leadership in sustainability and has a Director of Sustainability focused on advancing the firm’s initiatives and capabilities and our project’s sustainable design innovations and value.

RNL walks the talk and has achieved LEED-CI Gold for our Denver office and Silver for our Phoenix office. We support a firm-wide green operations program that serves as the foundation for our AIA 2030 Commitment. Our green operations include green power purchases for our offices, recycling and paper use reduction strategies, transit passes for staff and incrementally replacing our office fleet with hybrid vehicles.
