RNL provided test-fits for Xcel Energy when they decided to consolidate their existing office spaces into one location. Xcel Energy chose the RNL-designed 1800 Larimer because of its flexible floor plates, availability of contiguous space, and, most importantly, its LEED Platinum status. The design team provided extensive programming to improve adjacencies and maximize the stack-plan for the 14 floors. Inspired by the client’s commitment to sustainability, the flexible, collaborative space features graphics and art installations that depict Xcel’s renewable energy sources, innovative green materials, recycling areas and a user-controlled HVAC system.
