Google’s challenge to RNL was to create a space that captured the Internet technology’s firm-wide culture while incorporating the nuances that make its Denver office distinct. The first step was to understand how Google’s “work hard, play hard” philosophy could translate into a built environment supporting a highly interactive, creative and productive workforce. The design solution is an open floor plan with impromptu meeting spaces to encourage communication. Highlights include live Google searches and Google Earth images in the main reception area and expressions of the Google logo throughout the finishes.
