The Open Space Masterplan developed an interconnected network of open spaces that linked the neighborhoods, retail and commercial destinations to the major public open space destinations to create a scaled, walk-able community. The parks and open spaces are a central element within the Barwa development with the goal of providing access to the outdoors, to create community sustainability, and to provide ecological and social value to residents and visitors. The Open Space Masterplan centered around an environmentally responsive landscape that was sensitive to water usage.
