RNL provided comprehensive planning and design services for the City of Golden’s Public Works facility. The team first developed a site selection matrix that helped the city determine the best site for the project, which includes administration space for public works and other city departments, as well as vehicle maintenance, shop areas, materials storage and handling. RNL worked closely with the transportation and maintenance sub consultants to fully coordinate the extensive electrical, mechanical and plumbing requirements of the repair equipment. The HVAC and plumbing designs featured demand–controlled ventilation, radiant flooring, snow melt systems, and water recycling and reuse systems.
