The Al Gharbia 2030 Plan identifies this location as key to future development, acknowledging a new city of an additional 115,000 people and accommodating that growth in a sustainable manner, respecting and building upon the area’s natural and cultural values. It includes a comprehensive set of policies and guidelines to shape future growth in a responsible manner. Envisioned as a major regional destination within Al Gharbia, the master plan will create a “complete city” that delivers community services, employment opportunities and civic, retail and recreation facilities to support the growing population. The plan also will offer a range of residential options, with a variety of prices to attract a diverse population.
