Burj Khalifa is a master planned community that provides the setting for the world’s tallest building. The project is on 168 hectares of land adjacent existing high-rise residential and office districts in Dubai. Built on part of a former military facility, the high-density development includes a large retail shopping center, business center, significant collection of high-rise residential towers, a large urban lake and park, and an “old town” residential and retail center. A 9.3 hectare lake and canal system links major project elements.
