The Tunis Marina Master Plan is a redevelopment master plan for an area known as South Lake, which has significant historic significance thanks to its proximity to the former Tunis Harbor. The client negotiated an acquisition of the land adjacent the existing harbor and selected RNL to create a master plan for the 100-hectare project, envisioned as a general development with a variety of uses, including retail, commercial, entertainment, hotels, office, residential, convention, marinas and institutional. The master plan features a pedestrian promenade around the harbor and a series of canals with adjacent pedestrian promenades; restaurants, boutiques and entertainment venues front the canals.
