Nine Mile Station Transit Oriented Development

AURORA, COLORADO

RNL developed a strategy for turning the Nine Mile Light Rail Station area into a magnetic district of new mixed-use development, part of the city’s coordinated program for capturing the benefits of transit access at its stations. RNL created a master plan and redevelopment strategy built around relocation of the light rail station to a central position close to potential development sites, a redevelopment concept for the 20-acre Regatta Plaza, a Parker Road streetscape and landscape program, and a mixed-use site plan, including repositioning a grocery market to make room for a vertically mixed-use development. High-density low- rise residential development and retail enlivens the central plaza.
