1755 Blake, a five-story, Class A office building featuring ground-level retail, helps reactivate one of the streets that link three significant downtown Denver landmarks: Coors Field, Market Street Station and the 16th Street Mall. The contemporary structure mimics the scale and character central to the Lower Downtown Historic District. Set back from the property lines, its first exterior layer is simple in its rectangular shape, and pulled back at the corner and adjacent existing historic building so as not to compete to the relating mass. The second exterior layer is highlighted by stone detailing, balconies and punched windows that echo the material, scale and character of surrounding buildings.
