The design goal of the Urban Design and Landscape Architecture Studio at RNL has always been to illuminate the potential ecological aspects of landscape architecture and urban design - but not in a purely restorative way that would separate the city form the larger operations of nature. Instead, our work focuses on how the creative practices of ecology and landscape architecture might invent new relationships between people, place, and earth – adding diverse ecological dimensions to the city.
